Dear Vets and Vet Supporters – This is to inform
you of the Stand Down that is taking place in
Broward. We hope that your organizations would
all like to be involved. All of your ideas and
your energy is needed for every phase of the
Stand Down. One of the needs that has been
identified is for security for the event. We
thought that perhaps a Veteran's organization
would like to volunteer to help with that.

SUBJECT: Homeless Veteran's Stand Down BBQ

3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill, FL
Health Care for Homeless Veterans will be
participating in a Stand Down in Broward County
in conjunction with the Coalition to End
Homelessness, various Veterans organizations and
other groups in Broward. The event is being held
at the Central Broward Regional Park, 3700 NW
11th Place in Lauderhill. There is a huge
shelter with a very large surrounding yard where
they expect groups to set up tents if they have
them or tents will be provided. Tables will also
be provided. Electricity is available at the
site. They are focusing on homeless veterans but
all veterans are welcome as well as families.
There is a large playground adjacent to the
shelter for the children. I would appreciate any
input and suggestions. Thank you for your
assistance in making this a successful Stand
Down.
